Lightspeed and Ninja Storm both grew on me. I hated. Lightspeed at first because it seemed like a buzzkill after the Space seasons. Want ready for yet another cast change either. The season was more episodic than the Space seasons. But upon viewing it in reruns I realized it wasnt that bad when i judged it by itself.
Ninja Storm surprised me with the tone change back to MMPR like comedy and losing MMPR productions still stung to me. Like with LR it felt more episodic than I had been used too. Also i bought into that false rumor about Sloan wanting to erase everything after turbo from canon. Once I saw it again I liked it better. Especially since things picked up after Samurai's Journey. I grew to apreciate the mix of Comedy and Drama. It also helped that they made Lothar more menacing towards the end. Nowadays i see NS has a next generation MMPR type season.
